Dear Animal Friends,

My name is Dante and I’m 8 years old. This is my dog, Roxy. We got her from (your adoption show at) Petco. She was a foster from your shelter. She is a Pug/Boston Terrier mix. Her color is brindle.

Roxy likes to go for walks, play fetch and run. She is part of our family now and we love her very much. Thank you for letting us adopt her from you.

Brownie Juliets Donate Supplies

Brownie Juliets Ellie, Halie (both 10 years old), and Shanie (9 years old) came to the shelter recently and donated dog and cat food, bowls, leashes and cat litter earned with money they raised selling cookies.

Thanks, girls, the animals will make great use of your gifts!

You're Never too Young to Help!

Shawn Dauber, 7, loves animals. He wanted to come to the shelter to volunteer but, since he isn't old enough, he decided to collect donations to do his part to help the animals.

Shawn went around his neighborhood and emailed friends to collect the donations. One day he invited friends Codi and Cali Bressler to join him and they collected several items that day.

Shawn really enjoyed helping the animals in this way, and plans to continue.

The animals send you a great big, tail-waggin' "thanks," Shawn!
